A Round and Round Circle

I am so into Mandala recently. Mandala is a sanskrit words meaning circle, it's type of sacred arts in Hindu and Buddhism.

I have been to ChiangRai on last December 2010 for Mandala workshop. This workshop is facilitated by Katharina Bless at her Soma Centre. Soma Centre is a very scenic place which is deep inside a small village and up to the hill. You can imagine a cooling place surround with flora and fauna. And the food we ate are all organic vegetable cooked by the villagers who work in that centre.

About 5 chalets scatter around the centre and a pavillion centre for conducting the workshop. Duration for the workshop is 8 days. For the first few days, we are using colour pencils to colours our drawing, then the facilitator will interpret what's the hidden meaning in our mandala. Then we start to try on water colours on the mandala, before that we will need to brainstorm our very own logo.

Logo is a symbol, this symbol is representing us now and then. All of us are working hard to come out with our logo, some are worked till late night. My logo is a big tree standing firmly on the ground and head up to the sky. After I complete this tree, I can feeling an energy inside me felt release and I am complete. That is what I always wanted to be, grounding and brunch out. 'phew....'

I do colour gradually on top and below the circle.. top started with yellow gradually then below is blue gradually. It came out perfects! OK.. now we do a real one on acrylic paper, this type of paper is work well with water colours. tah dah.......
